Details of the 69th Japan’s Top Class Snow Festival in Nayoro

Our executive committee has been discussing whether to organize the Japan’s Top Class Snow Festival in Nayoro this year in consideration of nationwide spread of the COVID infection (especially in Hokkaido).
Based on our continued discussions, we have decided to change the event as follows so as to prioritize the safety of all participants.

1. Cancellation of large-scale event at the South Square
・Nayoro International Snow Sculpture Tournament Japan Cup, slides, shops, snow scene competition, snowmobile tours, and other stage events.
・Cancellation of international volunteer staff recruitment of the Nayoro International Snow Sculpture Tournament Japan Cup

2. Event Contents (tentative)
・The Mini Snow Scene Contest is back!
“The Mini Snow Scene Contest”, last seen 20 years ago, is now back!
We welcome pictures of snow scenes from families and companies, don’t miss the fabulous prizes based on our judgement!?

・Snow Festival Photo Contest
Take pictures themed with “Nayoro’s Snow Festival on your mind” and post them on social media with the hashtag “#SnowFestPhotoContest”!
